Omega Speedmaster 2915 poster
This poster is a reproduction of an official illustration of the Omega Speedmaster reference 2915-1, launched in 1957, is the highly coveted first iteration of the legendary Speedmaster line, originally designed as a robust chronograph for automobile racing. It was a key part of a professional watch trilogy that also included the Seamaster 300 and the Railmaster. This initial model, produced only for a short time (1957-1958), is highly sought after by collectors due to its unique features that later changed, such as the distinctive large stainless steel "broad arrow" hands and a stainless steel bezel with an engraved tachymeter scale (rather than a black aluminum insert). It housed the renowned manual-winding Calibre 321 column-wheel movement, known for its precision and reliability, a movement that would famously power the watches worn during the first moon landing years later. The 2915-1's innovative design, with the tachymeter on the external bezel for better legibility, laid the foundation for the future "Moonwatch" and established the Speedmaster as an icon in horological history.
